The Singapore Fruits And Vegetables Importers & Exporters Association was established in 1948. Since incorporation it played a significant role in promoting the development of Singapore fruits and vegetables trade, fostering closer relationships among members, government agencies and business associates, both locally and internationally.
The fresh produce trade has become very competitive, in the face of rising standards of living in Singapore and increasing expectations from our people. Today’s consumers have become more perceptive on health considerations, paying attention to the source, quality, variety and nutritional value of fresh produce.
Singapore imported an estimated value of S$3 billion worth of food per year. In 2010, about 370,000 tonnes of fruits and 480,000 tonnes of vegetables were imported from 39 countries, with an estimated market value of about S$454 million and S$388 million respectively. Our per capital consumption for fruits is 69.10 kg, and for vegetables is 83.8 kg. Accordingly, our Association and members seek to offer a wide spectrum of fresh produce of better quality and value, and in larger quantities, through diversifying our food supply sources.
AVA also formed the Vegetables and Fruits Cluster to meet regularly, the clusters provided platform for AVA to work closely with the industry to identify and address challenges in food supply; develop diversification strategies and explore new food sources and investments opportunities.
In terms of the Association’s activities, we often host visits for foreign government bodies & overseas trade delegations to tour the Pasir Panjang Wholesale Centre besides exchanging information. In addition, our Association collaborates with AVA to organize overseas trade mission trips to countries such as Cambodia, Israel and Indonesia to source for alternative supplies of fresh produce. Beside AVA, we also work very closely with the Thailand Embassy, who organizes one or two per year for SFVA members in promoting and supporting the quality fresh produce from their country. Our members have certainly benefited from such exchanges in terms of business networking and opportunities.
To celebrate our 63th anniversary, our Association is proud to present to you the latest edition of the Members’ Directory, which showcase our association’s profile, members’ business contacts, and our product specialities. This Directory will be widely distributed to all relevant organizations including government agencies, embassies, trade commissions as well as visiting trade delegations from foreign countries.

新加坡果菜出入口公会成立于于1948年, 今年已经步入第六十三个年头，超过半个世纪，一直以来公会在本国的果菜行业都扮演着积极且重要的角色, 为本地蔬果等农产品的稳定价格与供应量作出保持平稳与具竞争力的贡献。
我国的果菜入口一直都保持着自由与开放的态度，货品来源多元化，新加坡地小人多，本地蔬菜目前供应国人蔬菜需求的7%，要确保足够的供应量，就必须从外国进口。因此所入口的果菜都具竞争力。新加坡约从50个国家进口水果，39个国家进口蔬菜，让本地消费者能从众多的选择中获得最好的价钱。
本公会的首要任务是帮忙促进与支持新加坡果菜行业的发展前景, 协助会员彼此之间的联系与加强同业间的感情. 此外, 公会也扮演着充当会员与政府部门和商业机构之间互动的桥梁, 维持双方友好关系.
本会在过去的两年里，与新加坡农粮局 （AVA）合作不断的开拓新的市场，寻找新的果菜来源，新的产品，组织商贸考察团。在2010年，本会会员到了柬埔寨，以色列，印尼东 爪哇等地区考察，以加强双方以后的交流与合作; 让会员们获益不少。今年年头，本会会员也到泰国， 印尼中爪哇， 去找寻新的水果与蔬菜来源，同时也去了泰国，出席展览会，让会员寻找新的商机。
除了以上的活动外，本会与农粮局在最近也成立了特别工作小组，互相探讨关于蔬果药物的检测程序。 另外，农粮局也邀请本会会员参与其食品寻找货源策略与计划小组，积极参与农粮局的团队，密切的合作以为本地的农产品供应作出贡献。
目前,国人已经开始追求更健康的生活方式,非常重视及注意产品的来源,无论是质量,品种与营养价值等.我国入口食品总价值约三十亿. 鲜果的数量约三十七万吨, 蔬菜的数量约四十八万吨。我会会员在寻求并且供应鲜果时对产品的品质与价值也不断的提高标准.
本会也时常接待来自世界各国的政要及嘉宾莅临批发中心参观或交换资讯.巴西班让果菜批发中心为本地约八成的湿巴杀供应货品,只要有多元化的采购来源地，定能稳定蔬果的价格。
为庆祝本会第六十三周年纪念,本会出版了新的会员通讯录. 通讯录收集了所有会员的联络资料, 公会的资讯等. 会员通讯录也将赠送给各国大使馆,政府机构, 商会及外交商业使团代表.
在此, 本会非常感激我会顾问, 易华仁先生,各大使馆及政府机构给予本会的祝词. 与此同时感谢一路来支持本会的广告商家,使2011年度的会员通讯录得以顺利出版.
